JIIA publication

We are thrilled to announce the publication of our recent research article, “Indigenous Settlement Patterns and Habitats: A Case Study of the Mishing Community in Majuli, Assam” , in the prestigious Journal of The Indian Institutes of Architects (JIIA) in the Vol. 90 Issue 01, January 2025. This article was presented at the IIA Research Conference held at MCAP , Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in August 2024.

The article was authored by Ar. Sanjukta Das, Ar. Maria Khan, and Ar. Shubhada P Agrawal. This research study aims to promote a deeper understanding and significance of the traditional settlements of the Mishing community of Majuli island, Assam. We are honored to share our research with the academic community and beyond and hope that our study will contribute and inspire further research in this field in the broader perspective.
