​​On the occasion of International Day for Monument and sites, MAATI (earlier known as Samanuvidhatr) is happy to host a competition on unexplored heritage.

Background

Indian monuments and sites have always been identified for having higher significance than they currently showcase. Many a times most of heritage identification revolves around the most significant and the known ones. On the otherhand along with these, there are lot of untold and unexplored heritage having lot of intangible linkages which in due time are ignored and left aloof. Due to rising development demands, we observe a negligence in looking at these linkages and therefore end up losing our heritage.

Thus, the competition here aims to look at these unexplored heritage with untold stories.

We want you to recollect your associations to any such unseen monument or site in your area or far away and narrate a story which will help us to know how that site or monument is important and significant to you and the local people.

Submission details

We need a video/ photo/ collage for an monument you know personally and have an association with it. you can tell about some interesting stories related to that structure or site and also mention its current condition.

The monument or site mentioned in should have a public importance. That site or monument must be older than 50 years.

Technical details

Image should be clear and must not be copied from anywhere.

Story narration should not exceed 2000 word supported with a video or photo which can be in multiple form, single photo or in collage form so as to explain your story in a better way
