Ar. Sanjukta Das ( Mid Level Principal Architect at MAATI), attended a 5 day international workshop on advanced documentation techniques organized by INTACH Belgium and MP tourism at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh in 2018.
The workshop aimed at advanced documentation techniques such as, combining geomatics techniques and restoration for interdisciplinary knowledge and the preservation of historical and architectural Heritage, three-dimensional modelling of ancient buildings useful in planning reconstruction, restoration etc. The focus area for documentation was the fort and historic gardens of Rajnagar. The workshop covered all the practical activities of handling various surveying equipment along with learning a variety of softwares such as total station, terrestrial laser scanner, photogrammetry, 3D modelling etc.
